Dear Dania Elementary Dolphins, 

Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year! I hope that everyone had a safe and fun-filled summer break. It is with great enthusiasm, pride, and commitment I return to as your Proud Principal. I taught 5th grade at Dania Elementary from 1996 to 2000. I am beginning my 31st  year as a Broward County Public School educator, serving as Classroom Teacher, Math Coach, Assistant Principal, and Principal. Thank you for entrusting me with the responsibility of leading our amazing faculty, staff, and scholars.

You are strongly encouraged to become a part of our school organizations designed to make a difference in your child’s educational experience.  Our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) and/or School Advisory Council (SAC) are great opportunities to get involved. District policy mandates that every volunteer must fill out an online volunteer application and must be approved prior to volunteering in school or to be a chaperone on a field trip.  Access and complete our Volunteer Application at https://apps.raptortech.com/Apply/NDgyMDplbi1VUw==.  Please contact the school if you need/want assistance with this process.  Remember that Schools + Parents = Great School Experiences!  

Pre-K and Kindergarten parents will be allowed to walk their children to their classrooms during the first two days of school.  August 13^th   will be our “Independence Day”.  We ask that you drop your child off at their designated location, and our staff will make sure that your child arrives at their classroom safely.  Remember to follow the drop-off and pick up procedures to ensure your child’s safety. 

It is important that you take the time to review all the information provided to you and return all necessary forms to your child’s teacher.  The Code of Student Conduct handbook has gone green.  The 2025-2026 Broward County Public Schools Code of Student Conduct handbook will be available electronically in English, Haitian Creole, Portuguese and Spanish on the District's website at http://www.browardschools.com.  A limited number of print copies of the handbook are available to parents.  Parents/guardians may contact their school to request a print copy.  The English version of the Code of Student Conduct Handbook can be found at School Climate & Discipline / Code of Conduct (browardschools.com). Please review the Student Code of Conduct online carefully.   

We are excited about the upcoming school year, and we embrace this excitement as we embark on a journey of learning for everyone at Dania Elementary.  Our school expectation is to provide a world class education to every child enrolled at our school.
